Jewel - With an eye for function and design

Jewel is for those who care about music, design, and craftsmanship. For collectors, nostalgics, and new believers who miss the feeling of owning something real. It’s for those who want to see, feel, and hear – and let the memories live on. Marius Brandl: "Our vision is simple: to give CDs the honor they deserve, and to do it with pride, purpose, and passion."

About Jewel

Jewelmade began with a simple irritation: music packaging was made to be seen, but too often ended up hidden in piles, drawers or plastic cases.

In the late 1990s, Norwegian designer Marius Brandl was studying interior and product design in Copenhagen when the idea first appeared. At a party, with music playing and CD covers scattered across a table, he started wondering why there was no clear, careful way to display a cover while listening.

FAQs Record Stand - LP-01

What does the LP-01 now-playing record stand display?

The LP-01 displays one album sleeve at a time. It is intended for the record currently playing or a favourite cover, rather than for general LP storage.

Should I place the vinyl record itself or the album sleeve in the LP-01?

The stand is designed for the album cover or sleeve. Keep the record on the turntable or in its inner sleeve rather than placing an exposed disc in the display.

What are the dimensions and weight of the LP-01?

The display measures approximately 310 × 80 × 61.3 mm and weighs about 0.78 kg. The base proportions help position a standard LP sleeve centrally.

View more questions Hide questions

Which materials and colours are available?

The LP-01 is made from powder-coated Norwegian steel and is offered in black or champagne. Both finishes create a restrained background for the displayed record sleeve.

Does the LP-01 require assembly?

No. It is delivered as a ready-made product and requires no assembly. Place it on a stable, level surface beside the turntable or record cabinet.

How does the stand keep the album cover centred?

The dimensions of the base plate are designed to guide the sleeve into a consistent central position. This keeps the now-playing display orderly without clips or wall mounting.

Where can the LP-01 be used?

It can be used at home, in a listening room, record shop, café or other place where one album cover needs a visible position. It is a freestanding display, not a record shelf or wall frame.

How quickly is the LP-01 delivered, and what warranty applies?

The page lists immediate availability with dispatch in approximately two to four business days and EU shipping of €7.95. The stated cancellation period is 14 days after receipt, and the warranty is two years.

Collection FAQs

What is a record stand?

A record stand is a freestanding holder for one sleeve or a small group of LPs. It can act as a now-playing display, a front-browsing queue or compact vinyl storage beside a turntable.

What is the difference between a now-playing stand and a storage stand?

A now-playing stand usually holds one album cover, while a storage stand uses deeper supports for multiple records. LP-01, Duke and Penguin x MOEBE are single-sleeve displays; Jewel LP-20 and LP-40 hold larger listening selections.

How many LPs fit in the record stands in this collection?

Capacity ranges from one sleeve to around 40 records. Check the product description rather than the overall dimensions alone, because a wide display for two or three covers is not necessarily designed to carry a row of LPs.

View more questions Hide questions

Can a record stand hold gatefold or double albums?

Often yes, but thick sleeves use more space and may not fit a narrow now-playing slot. Check the internal width and front support, particularly for box sets and heavy gatefold jackets.

Where should a record stand be placed?

Use a stable, level surface where it will not obstruct the turntable lid, tonearm or controls. Keep it away from direct sun, heat and busy edges where sleeves can be knocked onto the floor.

Which materials are common in record stands?

The range includes powder-coated steel, stainless steel and solid wood. A heavier metal base can support a slim profile, while wood stands vary naturally in grain and colour.

Do record stands require assembly?

Many single-sleeve stands arrive ready to use. Larger or convertible displays may require a foot, bracket or simple assembly. The product page should state what is included and whether wall hardware is optional.

How does a record stand work with a record cabinet?

Use the cabinet for long-term LP storage and the stand for the album being played or the next few selections. This separates browsing from archiving and keeps loose sleeves from accumulating on top of the LP furniture.
